Back to the City Concert – V Edition
The Back to the City Concert – The great classical music in the park is back for its fifth edition!
This year, for the regular appointment for everyone’s return to the city at the end of the summer, the world renown composer and cellist Giovanni Sollima, will take to BAM’s open air stage to conduct the Luigi Cherubini Youth Orchestra, founded by Riccardo Muti and made up of young people under 30 years of age.
The programme will include the world-famous Concert in C Major by Franz Joseph Haydn and Arioso by Johann Sebastian Bach along with two compositions by the cello player himself: The N-Ice Cello Concerto for Cardboard Cello and Orchestra and When We Were Trees, which with its Vivaldi references reminds us that at one time the cello was a tree.
For the BAMFRIEND community, front-row seats and gifts from our sponsors Tucano and BWT are also reserved, don’t miss out and sign up now!
In addition to the BAM Park Ambassadors Volvo Car Italia and Assiteca – Howden and the Park Developer & Supporter COIMA that support all the cultural planning and park activities, Back to the City Concert 2023 is made possible by the support of Mapei, which partners one of the most eagerly awaited appointments when coming back to the city after the summer break, the Supporter isybank, Tecnical Partners ATM, BWT, Mediamond and Tucano and the Media Partner Music Paper. Lastly, special thanks go to the Foundation of Milan Communities that through BANDO57, supports the entire path for approaching the concert, as well as the Back to the City Concert itself, since it is an entity that is strongly committed to promoting inclusiveness and social utility activities and also supports the promotion of culture throughout the area.
In the case of bad weather, the Back to the City Concert will be moved inside the Testori Auditorium of Palazzo Lombardia and the concert will be streamed live in Sala Biagi of Palazzo Lombardia to allow a greater number of people to follow the concert. Prior notification of this change will be given.
