Fabio Sartorelli took his degree with honours in musicology from the University of Bologna. Today he teaches history of music at the “G. Verdi” Conservatory of Milan and “Guide to Listening to Opera and Ballet” at the La Scala Academy of Milan.

He holds courses and lessons regularly for the La Scala Academy in collaboration with the Bocconi University of Milan and Piccolo Teatro, and for the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.

He has been, and still is, invited to speak on opera and ballet by leading Italian and foreign institutions. He is also deputy chairman of the “Giuseppe Verdi” Symphonic Orchestra of Milan.
