Performing Arts in the Park: Ode to the Trees

During the past summer, many trees in Milan tragically fell due to an exceptional atmospheric phenomenon. It is a wound for the city and its citizens.

BAM and BookCity Milano are dedicating an outdoor breakfast with poetic readings to the city together with the collective Poetry and the City (Vivian Lamarque, Vittorio Lingiardi, Nicola Gardini, Giuseppina Manin and Cristina Battocletti) and surprise guests.

This is an opportunity to celebrate nature and share Milan’s love for its plants in the midst of BAM’s Maples. On this occasion, the first tree of BAM’s 20 fallen will be planted; this closing moment will be accompanied by the lines of verse of a new poem by Vivian Lamarque, commissioned by BAM for the event.
