BAM is going beyond its borders on the occasion of the Isola festival with a special guided tour of the “Breaking News” exhibit, curated by Fabio Fornasari, at Casa della Memoria.

Museums, theatres, cinema… are not only amusement and entertainment sites, but also environments where thoughts, arguments and knowledge affecting the civil way of life are put forward.

Is it possible for the study of a painter to be considered in the same way as a place of civil commitment? One possible answer is found in the research and works of Tullio Vietri, who has subjected the social, political and economic dynamics under way to an accurate analysis, communicating the repercussions on the existence of contemporary man in visual form.

The exhibition presents his Breaking news, daily news that Vietri has turned into a pictorial message that prods reflection and involvement, from terrorism to global pollution, from criticism to Italian politics and to criticism of international politics.
