Project

The Biblioteca degli Alberi park was designed by the Dutch studio Inside Outside|Petra Blaisse and realized by COIMA on behalf of the City of Milan as part of the Porta Nuova urban planning project. The park, landmark and green heart of Milan’s innovative skyline, with its 10 hectare span and its extraordinary botanical collection, is a unique model in Italy of a contemporary garden.

The park hosts a wide variety of plants distributed in gardens with innovative designs: vegetation and paths intertwine creating a chessboard of green rooms, irregular fields, circular forests, flowering meadows, small squares, and equipped areas. Places that welcome a cultural programme composed of BAMmoment, collective experiences aimed at a varied audience.
