BAMOff Performing Arts: Talk on Mediterranean sonority

Surprise and unexpectedness, and a desire to go beyond the limit of convention with incessant sound research: these are the elements that can be found in this stimulating duo made up of Hamid Drake and Pasquale Mirra, where the African and Oriental pulsations of the drums absorb the eclecticism of the vibraphone and together breathe it in a sonorous kaleidoscopic journey. 

The compositions are used in the improvisational flow to prompt it to take different paths, while at the same time the creativity of the duo brings about changes – including structural – which, due to them, stand out each time, from one meeting to the next, as unique, unrepeatable moments that are never the same.
