Performing Arts in the Park: Rainbow 4et
Crossing through time and the musical atmospheres of jazz in its most intense and meaningful historical moments, keeping themselves faithful to tradition and at the same time asserting themselves and their musical vision. This is the underlying theme linking the musicians of “Rainbow 4et” by Eleonora D’Ettole and that is reflected in the nature of their performance. The repertoire presented includes significant songs of US jazz tradition and songs that depict their evolution over the years, arriving at more contemporary compositions that are the result of their coming into contact with European and Brazilian music and culture.
Leader of the band is Eleonora D’Ettole, an artist boasting a versatile and personal vocal style. For some time she has devoted herself to jazz music in both concerts and teaching as she explores the different style currents and roams freely from mainstream jazz to more contemporary jazz, with forays into Brazilian popular and jazz music. At her side is one of the leading pianists of today’s jazz scene is a refined musician of great depth and an accompanist of rare sensitivity, Michelangelo Decorato. Playing the double bass is an icon of Italian jazz, an artist who has contributed to the growth and popularization of jazz in Italy and who has worked with the leading Italian and international jazz musicians, Attilio Zanchii. The band is enhanced by one of the most eclectic contemporary musicians Francesco D’Auria. This drummer and percussionist filled with inexhaustible creative energy gives the quartet’s performance greater expressive charge with his original drumming packed with colours and shades.
