Performing Arts in the Park: Music marathon with CPM ULTRA POP BAND

The spirit of CPM ULTRA POP is that of highlighting the best of the Popular Music repertoire by strictly playing
live with Mediterranean sounds!

There will be three hours of music in search of styles and melodies that are different and unique in their genres

3 pm “Latin-American folk music” a musical journey through the genres of Latin-American folk music aims to also be a return to the origins of the genre itself, which starts from the Spanish flamenco and African rhythms. More familiar sounds join characteristic rhythms, however focussing on the voice and timbre typical of Latin-American folk music.

At 4 pm “The Mediterranean and sounds of Salentine Greece” the songs will be performed with a simple and acoustic formation that best reveals the naturalness of the music played. The repertoire will also touch on songs typical of Salentine Greece, a specific area of Salento, where its musical culture is still very much alive, up to arriving at songs tied to the Mediterranean.

At 5 pm “Neapolitan music contaminated by African rhythms” the repertoire takes shape from the ancient origins of African music up to arriving at the more recent music of Pino Daniele and the folk songs of Southern Italy. The rhythmicity of the percussions, the harmony of the guitar and the melody of the voices will be the main elements of the musical moment.
