Theatre and poetry

Give voice to your expressiveness! Candidates can sign up for our talent show by writing to promozione@bam.milano.it before the deadline of 7 August! 

We accept candidacies of individual artists and groups up to 6 participants at the most. 

If you will be one of the 10 talents to be selected, you will have the opportunity to perform at a Municipio 8 location on 1 October before a panel of prominent celebrities who will decide whether you will reach the final performance at BAM! 

The panel members who will assess your performance will include leading personalities of the world of theatre: the director of Scuola Civica Paolo Grassi Marco Plini, the journalist, teacher and radio host of Radio Popolare Ira Rubini, the actor and comedian Loris Fabiani whose stage name is Lunanzio, the members of talent promoting organisations, i.e. the General Cultural of BAM Francesca Colombo and the Director of Fondazione di Comunità Milano Franco Aletti.

What do you want to put forward?
A monologue, a dialogue scene, a theatre short, a poem. Genre and format are open (e.g. serious, dramatic, comical, cabaret, poetry, stand-up comedy, slam poetry, etc.).

We want to promote creativity and originality, so we will not accept refashioning of others’ material. Brand new proposals only!

The 4 finalists selected by the panel during the show on 1 October in a location of Milan’s Municipio 8 will perform again at BAM on 5 October during our BAM Autumn Festival event with great professions. See the details here.

We want to accompany your artistic growth! 

We are offering the 4 winning talents a range of awards:

• an economic award of €500 to contribute to your artistic training
• the opportunity to participate in experiences such as workshops/seminars/laboratories at Campsirago Residenza
• perform at the station in Piazza Duomo at the corner of Via Marconi, made available by the Municipality of Milan
• perform on a stage in the Garibaldi Station, made available by Openstage.
